New League Commissioner Named for 2025-26 Season

Grand Strand Youth Hockey is thrilled to welcome Pat Sheehan as the new League Commissioner for the 2025-26 season!

Pat joined the league last season an immediately made an impression with his energy, knowledge of the game, and the positive way he connects with players. He’s been nothing short of fantastic with the kids since starting with us last spring, and we’re excited to have him stepping into a leadership role to manage our coaches, referees and all gameday operations throughout the upcoming season.

Originally from Bellmawr, New Jersey, Pat grew up playing both lacrosse and ice hockey at Gloucester Catholic High School in the Philadelphia area. Along the way, he skated alongside some serious talent—including NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and current Carolina Hurricanes forward Eric Robinson.

Pat went on to attend Widener University, where he earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering while continuing to play ice hockey, lacrosse, and roller hockey. He led his college roller hockey league in all-time scoring and captured back-to-back league championships in 2016 and 2017.

Currently, Pat works locally as a manager at Tupelo Bay Golf Center and plays in the Grand Strand Adult Hockey League, in addition to his work volunteering with GSYH.
